We were originally founded in 1847, long before welding replaced rivets as the accepted method of joining two bits of metal.

It wasn’t until the early 1980’s, after many years experience in the chemical industry, that we became involved in the offshore oil and gas industry and were required to further develop our certification of welding operations to satisfy the demands of that industry.

Having gone through the learning experience of developing our own procedures and building a team of qualified welding operatives to carry out the work we were doing, we recognised that there was a need to offer our experience and facilities to other companies requiring both technical assistance and a practical facility to carry out welder approval testing.

We soon became established in this role and a number of the larger fabrication and labour hire companies began to take advantage of what we could offer.
